Machen Sie sich vor der ersten Anwendung des
Instrumentes am Patienten unbedingt mit der
Funktionsweise und Bedienung des Instrumentes
vertraut.
Bestimmungsgemäße
Verwendung
Flexible KARL STORZ Video-Bronchoskope sind
opto-elektronische Instrumente zur medizini-
schen, diagnostischen und therapeutischen
Anwendung am Menschen. Die Anwendung
erfolgt durch die natürlichen Körperöffnungen
des Patienten in der Bronchoskopie.
Videoendoskope sind Anwenderteile, die nur mit
den zugelassenen Versorgungsteilen (Kamera -
kontroll- Einheiten, Lichtquellen) verwendet werden
dürfen.
Kontraindikationen:
Es sind keine Kontraindikationen bekannt, die
sich direkt auf das Produkt beziehen. Die Video-
Bronchoskope dürfen nicht angewendet werden,
wenn nach Meinung eines erfahrenen Arztes eine
solche Anwendung eine Gefährdung des
Patienten hervorrufen würde, z. B. aufgrund des
Allgemeinzustandes des Patienten, oder die
endoskopische Methode als solche kontraindi-
ziert ist.
Qualifikation des Anwenders
Die KARL STORZ Video-Bronchoskope dürfen
nur von Personen eingesetzt werden, die über
eine entsprechende medizinische Qualifikation
verfügen und mit der Technik der Bronchoskopie
vertraut sind. Die in dieser Anleitung gegebenen
Hinweise dienen lediglich der korrekten Hand -
habung und Reinigung der Video-Bronchoskope.
Sie sind nicht zur Einführung in die Technik der
Video-Bronchoskopie geeignet.

before using the device. Before using the instru-
ment on the patient it is imperative that you be
acquainted with how the instrument operates and
is controlled.
Normal Use
Flexible KARL STORZ video bronchoscopes are
optoelectronic instruments for medical, diagnos-
tic and therapeutic use on human patients. They
are inserted via the patient's natural bodily open-
ings for the purpose of bronchoscopy.
Videoscopes are applied parts, which should only
be used with approved supply units (camera con-
trol units, light sources).
Contraindications:
There are no known contraindications relating
directly to the product.
The video bronchoscopes must not be used
if, in the opinion of a qualified physician, such an
application would endanger the patient, e.g. due
to the patient's general condition, or if the endo-
scopic method as such is contraindicated.
User qualification
The KARL STORZ video bronchoscopes may
only be used by persons with an appropriate
medical qualification and who are acquainted
with the bronchoscopic technique. The informa-
tion given in these instructions only serves to
instruct in the correct handling and cleaning of
the video bronchoscopes.
It is not intended as an introduction to the tech-
nique of video bronchoscopy.

Familiarícese bien con el procedimiento de apli-
cación, así como con los modos de funciona-
miento y manejo del instrumento antes de em -
plearlo por primera vez en pacientes.
Empleo previsto
Los videobroncoscopios flexibles de
KARL STORZ son instrumentos optoelectrónicos
para aplicación médica, diagnóstica y terapéuti-
ca en seres humanos. La aplicación se lleva a
cabo a través de los orificios naturales del cuer-
po del paciente en broncoscopia.
Los videoendoscopios son piezas de aplicación
que sólo pueden ser utilizadas con piezas de ali-
mentación homologadas (unidades de control de
cámara, fuentes de luz).
Contraindicaciones:
No se conocen actualmente contraindicaciones
que se refieran directamente al producto. Los
videobroncoscopios no deben aplicarse cuando,
según la opinión de un médico cualificado, una
aplicación de este tipo pueda representar un
peligro para el paciente, p. ej., debido al estado
general del paciente, o cuando el método
endoscópico en sí está contraindicado.
Cualificación del usuario
Los videobroncoscopios de KARL STORZ sola-
mente pueden ser empleados por personas que
dispongan de la correspondiente cualificación
profesional y que estén familiarizados con la téc-
nica de broncoscopia. Las indicaciones conteni-
das en este Manual sólo tienen por objeto acla-
rar el manejo y la limpieza correctos del video-
broncoscopio, no siendo apropiadas como intro-
ducción a la técnica de la videobroncoscopia.
