Reinigung, Desinfektion,
Pflege und Sterilisation
Bei der Gassterilisation mit Ethylenoxid sind
wegen der Gasaufnahme der Werkstoffe folgen-
de Auslüftzeiten der Instrumente zu beachten:

(Mindestzeit bei einfacher Klarsichtverpackung

Die maximal zulässigen Werte (gemäß 21 CFR
812.100; US-Bundesanzeiger Band 43, Nr. 122
vom 23. Juni 1978) für Rückstände nach der
EtO-Sterilisation sind folgende:
Ethylenoxid:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Ethylenchlorohydrin:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Ethylenglycol:
250 ppm* / 5000 ppm**
** für Instrumente die mit Haut und Schleimhaut,
* für Instrumente die mit Blut in Kontakt kommen.
Eine Aussage über die Effizienz der Sterilisation
am jeweiligen Instrumententyp (in Abhängigkeit
von Länge und Durchmesser der Lumina) kann
nur vom Hersteller des Sterilisationsgerätes
gegeben werden.
Vorsicht: Die Hinweise zur Reinigung,
Sterilisation und Aufbewahrung in der
Anleitung „Reinigung, Sterilisation und
Pflege von KARL STORZ Instrumenten"
müssen beachtet werden. Dort sind die
Verfahren zur Reinigung, Desinfektion
und Sterilisation im Detail erklärt.
Cleaning, disinfection, care

For gas sterilization with ethylene oxide, the
following airing times must be observed for in -

Maximum acceptable levels (as per 21 CFR
812.100; Federal Register, Vol. 43, No. 122, June
23 1978) of residues following EO sterilization are
as follows:
Ethylene oxide:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Ethylene chlorohydrine:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Ethylene glycol:
250 ppm* / 5000 ppm**
** for instruments in contact with skin and mucous
membrane,
* for instruments in contact with blood.
Statements as to the efficiency of sterilization for
the respective type of instrument (depending on
the length and diameter of the lumens) can only
be made by the manufacturer.
Caution: Attention must be paid to the
information on cleaning, sterilization
and storage in the 'Cleaning, sterilization
and care of KARL STORZ instruments'
instructions. The methods for cleaning,
disinfection and sterilization are
explained there in detail.

En la esterilización por gas con óxido de etileno,
debido a la absorción de gas por parte de los

te y un tiempo de aplicación en el paciente de

Los valores máximos permisibles para los resi-
duos al concluir la esterilización EtO (según 21
CFR 812.100; Registro Federal de los EE.UU.
Vol. 43, Nº 122, 23 de junio 1978) son los
siguientes:
Oxido de etileno:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Clorohidrina de etileno:
25 ppm* / 250 ppm**
Glicol etilénico:
250 ppm* / 5.000 ppm**
** para instrumentos que entran en contacto con piel y
mucosa,
* para instrumentos que entran en contacto con san-
gre.
Las indicaciones en cuanto a la eficiencia de la
esterilización en el respectivo tipo de instrumento
(según la longitud y el diámetro de los lúmenes)
únicamente pueden ser subscritas por el fabri-
cante del esterilizador.
Advertencia: Deben observarse las ins-
trucciones referentes a limpieza, esterili-
zación y almacenamiento contenidas en
la Instrucción "Limpieza, esterilización y
conservación de los instrumentos de
KARL STORZ". Allí se explican detallada-
mente los procedimientos para limpieza,
desinfección y esterilización.
