Starting/Ending Communication

To connect to a remote site, dial the telephone number
as you would call a normal telephone.
The Monitoring Codec can send and receive voice,
pictures, still images and control data via one ISDN
(BRI) or V.35 line.

Connecting to a Remote Site

You can connect to a remote site in the following two
ways. The connection method is different depending
on whether the remote site has been registered or not.
Note
If you have connected multiple devices to one line
number, set subaddresses for all devices. The system
tries to call all devices even if some of them do not
have subaddresses.
Operation
To connect to a registered remote site
You have to register the remote sites in the SETTING
menu before trying to initiate communication.
For details, see "DIAL LIST" on page 2-4 (GB).
If the DIAL LIST menu is displayed, start from Step 2.

Select the DIAL LIST from the main menu.
The DIAL LIST menu appears.

Select a remote site to connect to by using V or v,
then press ENTER.
The system starts the connection process.
When the remote site is connected, the picture
from the remote site is displayed.
