PARALLEL I/O

You can set the RELAY OUT I/O (Input/Output). You
can also name the ports.

PORT1 – PORT8: You can name (up to 17
characters long) the ports to identify the
connection between the ports and the connected
devices. Set the name as follows.

Move the cursor to the port to be named using V or
v, and move the cursor to <OK> using B or b,
then press ENTER. The following screen appears.

Enter the port name. Move the cursor to <OK> and
press ENTER. The following screen appears.

PORT#: Displays the port name.
PORT I/O: Select the RELAY OUT terminal I/O.
Each time you press b, the selection is changed as
follows.
INPUT-NO n INPUT-NC n OUTPUT-NO n
OUTPUT-NC n DISABLE
OUTPUT MODE: Select the output mode. Each
time you press b, the selection is changed as
follows.
REAL TIME (real time) n DURATION
(duration) n LATCH (latch)
You can control the manner in which the I/O port
of the local site switches by setting the output
mode.
• REAL TIME: When the I/O port of the remote
site is switched, the I/O port of the local site is
also switched in accordance with that of the
remote site.
• DURATION: When the I/O port of the remote
site closes, the I/O port of the local site closes
for the time set in DURATION below.
• LATCH: When the I/O port of the remote site
closes, or when the line is disconnected, the I/O
port of the local site remains closed.
This item is available only when you have
selected OUTPUT-NO or OUTPUT-NC in
PORT I/O.
DURATION: Set the duration (0 – 999 seconds).
This item is available only when you have
selected DURATION in OUTPUT MODE. If you
set 0, the system operates as if you selected REAL
TIME in OUTPUT MODE.

COMPUTER

You can set the COMPUTER port in this screen.

BAUD RATE: Select a baud rate (1200, 2400, 4800,
9600, 19200 or 38400).
CHARACTER BIT: Select the number of character
bits (7 or 8).
