VERSION: Shows the software version.
LOOP BACK: Select ON to run the loop back.
DEBUG: Select ON to run the debugger.
HEALTH CHECK: Select ON to run the health
check. If you select ON, the system automatically
disconnects the line if the line connection is poor.
When LOOP BACK is set to ON
The analog video input signal from the camera is
digitized and encoded when you call through the DIAL
LIST menu. This signal is looped back and decoded
before sending it via ISDN. This decoded signal is
displayed on the monitor after converting it to an
analog signal.
When DEBUG is set to ON
The ISDN line connection status is output to the USER
DATA port.
When HEALTH CHECK is set to ON
The system does a health check at five seconds
intervals.
If the connection fails three consecutive times, the
system disconnects the line, then the ISDN cause code
(999) appears on the screen for two seconds.
You can check the result by reading the
communication log.
For details on the communication log, see page 3-4 (GB).
To execute diagnostics
Set LOOP BACK to ON and dial from the DIAL LIST
or the DIAL KEY menu. (You don't need to enter the
telephone number.)
Loop back is normal if the video signal which does not
pass through the Monitoring Codec is displayed in a
few seconds, then the video signal going through the
Monitoring Codec is displayed.
To monitor the ISDN status
Set DEBUG to ON and connect the dumb terminal to
the USER DATA port.
The status in the form of (a, b, c, d @n) is displayed on
the monitor. "a" is the status of the 1B-channel and "b"
is the status of the 2B-channel. "c" is the status of the
V.35A-channel and "d" is the status of the V.35B-
channel. @n indicates that the state of the ISDN has
changed. @n takes on values from @1 to @4. @1 to
@4 correspond to "a" to "d". Status is displayed on the
monitor from 0 to 10. "10" is the status of the
connection.

DIAG/BRI MISC

You can run self-diagnostics. The self-diagnostic
function checks the Monitoring Codec and the ISDN
line.
The system executes the self-diagnostic function by
looping back the audio/video signals and serial data.
The system asks you if you want to run the self-
diagnostic function. To run the function, move the
cursor to <OK> and press ENTER. The following
screen appears.
D I A G / B R I M I S C
D I A G V I D E O & A U D I O
D I A G S I O
B R I M I S C
< E X I T >
Note
After executing the diagnostics, all setting are reset to
the same state as when the power is turned on except
for the items in the SETTING menu.
