Move the cursor to the item you want to check and
press ENTER. The system starts self-diagnostics for
the selected item.
Notes
• For a video signal loop back, you need a camera and
a monitor.
• For an audio signal loop back, you need a headset.
Items checked when the Monitoring Codec is
off-line
Item Normal result
CAMERA Changes the input signal and displays it on
SELECT the monitor to diagnose the video signal I/O
and the video switch. You can connect the
monitor to either the VIDEO OUT connector
or MONITOR OUT connector. The selected
camera picture is displayed. If you select a
port into which no video signal is input, there
is no synchronization and nothing is
displayed on the monitor.
Displays the video signals which are
LOCAL
encoded and decoded.
LOOP BACK
DISPLAY Displays only character information or a
MODE superimposed picture. Each time you press
ENTER, the screen changes between
character information without picture and the
superimposed picture.
AUDIO Loops back the audio signals input from the
microphone to the headset or the line output.

Serial data is checked by looping back the data from
the Monitoring Codec. Connect the loop back
connectors to the COMPUTER, TABLET and USER
DATA ports.
Note
As a serial data loop back is done in RS-232C mode,
set the hardware switch on the main board to RS-232C
position.
For details on pin assignment, see "Pin Assignment" on
pages A-8 (GB) to A-10 (GB).
Move the cursor to an item to be checked in the
following screen and press ENTER. The system starts
the self-diagnostics of the selected item. When the
hardware is functioning correctly, the system displays
"OK".
