q) Select the operating mode for output #1

A door opener can be connected directly to output #1; the code lock delivers a voltage of
12 V/DC and a current of up to 3 A.
Ensure that the door opener is connected in the correct polarity (screw terminal 8 = Plus/+,
screw terminal 9 = minus/-/GND).
The protective diode must be connected near to the door opener in the correct polarity.
Output #1 is preconfigured for a "fail-secure" door opener (standard door opener type for house
doors). It can also be configured for use with a "fail-safe" door opener.
• "Fail-secure" door openers:
Fail-secure door openers release the latch when the power supply delivers a voltage (stand-
ard door opener type for house doors).
• "Fail-safe" door openers:
Fail-safe door openers release the latch when the power supply stops delivering a voltage
(non-standard door opener type, used for emergency exit doors so that the door opens in the
event of a power cut).
Select the operating mode as follows:
• The code lock must be in programming mode (see section 12. a) for details).
• Enter programming code
• Select the desired function:
"Fail secure" door opener (default setting)
"Fail safe" door opener
• Press the button to confirm your entry. The code lock will beep twice and the "MAINS"
LED will flash two times to indicate that the setting has been saved.
Always select the correct operating mode.
In the default configuration, you can connect a "fail secure" door opener to output #1.
This is the standard door opener type for house entrance doors. The door opener only
releases the latch when the power supply delivers a voltage (e.g. when you touch the
door opener button).
