Screw terminal 14 ("DOOR SENS"): Connection for door sensor
When you connect a door sensor (with an NC contact), the combination lock can monitor wheth-
er the door is open or closed.
If the input is not used, it must be connected to the minus/-/GND contact (screw termi-
nal 13).
For this reason, terminals 13 and 14 are connected with a small wire bridge when the
product is shipped.
If you wish to connect a sensor, remove the wire bridge between terminals 13 and 14.
The following functions are available when you connect a door sensor:
• Automatic relocking
You can set output #1 to be activated for 1 - 999 seconds. If output #1 is activated with a valid
code and the door is opened and closed, the activation period (and therefore output #1) will
be automatically reset to lock the door.
This prevents people from opening the door because the activation period has not elapsed.
• Break-in alarm
The combination lock sets off an alarm if someone attempts to open the door without entering
a valid code (or without using the door opener connected to terminal 12).
The alarm will sound for 60 seconds and can be stopped by entering the user code (see sec-
tion 12. j) for details on how to set the user code).
• Open door alarm
You can set output #1 to be activated for 1 - 999 seconds so that the door stays open for a
preset duration.
If the door is still open when the preset period has elapsed, the combination lock will set off
an alarm (see section 12. p) for details).
