13. Disposal
13.1 Product disposal
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directive aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment and human
health, by increasing re-use and recycling and by reducing the amount of electrical and electronic waste going to landfills. The symbol on this product and its
packaging signifies that this product must be disposed separately from ordinary household waste at the end of its life. Be aware that this is the responsibility of the
owner to dispose of electrical and electronic waste at recycling centres in order to conserve natural resources. Each country has its collection centres for electrical
and electronic waste. For information about recycling drop off areas, contact the local electrical and electronic equipment waste management authority, the local city
office or the household waste disposal service.
13.2 Packaging/packing materials disposal
Sorting and disposing of packaging materials correctly is essential for environmentally friendly waste management. The packaging is designed to protect the tool during transit
and is made of materials that can be recycled.
• Dispose of cardboard and paperboard packaging by submitting them to the recycled paper service or waste paper collection. Check with local recycling facilities for specific
guidelines on recycling cardboard and paperboard.
• Dispose of wrapping materials, inserts, straps and other plastic packaging by checking with local recycling facilities for specific guidelines on recycling or waste disposal
methods. Follow their instructions to ensure proper disposal and promote environmental sustainability.
• Consider reusing the wooden crate for storage or transportation if it is in good condition.
• Contact local recycling facilities or waste management authorities to inquire about wooden crate recycling and follow their specific instructions for proper preparation and
delivery.
• If the wooden crate is not suitable for reuse, check with local waste management authorities for proper recycling, re-purposing, composting or landfill disposal procedures.
