10.2 Lubrication
NOTICE!
» Regularly lubricate the spindle of the tool using the specified lubrication oils and
intervals to ensure proper functioning and minimise wear and tear.
» Make sure surfaces and parts requiring lubrication are clean and free from dirt,
debris, or old lubrication oil before applying new lubrication oil.
» Regularly monitor the tool for signs of inadequate lubrication, excess lubrication
oil buildup and inspect lubrication points for leaks, irregularities or changes in
lubrication oil condition.
1. Fill the grease gun or lubrication oil applicator with high-quality lithium-based or
synthetic lubrication oil.
2. Using an M3 hex key, loosen the bolt on the lubrication port (Fig. R).

11. Maintenance
WARNING! Risk of electric shock!
» Always switch off the tool and disconnect it from the power source before any maintenance. This is to reduce the risk of electric shock and prevent accidental startup during
maintenance.
CAUTION! Hazardous metal dust
» Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing maintenance to avoid the risks associated with exposure to metal dust and debris, including
respiratory dangers and skin or eye irritation.
11.1 Maintenance schedule
Regular inspections and maintenance are crucial for early detection and timely resolution of issues. Follow the maintenance plan outlined in this chapter to maintain the tool's
optimal performance. The maintenance table serves as a comprehensive framework for scheduling tasks and ensuring the tool's performance and reliability.
Task
Inspect the support struts (8)
• Visually inspect the support struts for any cracks, splits or signs of deterioration. Replace damaged or worn
support struts to maintain smooth, controlled movement of the articulating arm (5).
Inspect all fasteners
• Regularly inspect and tighten all nuts, bolts and screws. The fasteners on the tool can easily loosen through the
motion of vibration.
Inspect the collet chuck (10)
• Thoroughly clean the collet chuck to remove any accumulated dirt, debris, or metal shavings.
• Inspect the collet chuck for any wear or damage that could affect its ability to securely hold the tapping tool.
Inspect the oil nozzle (11) and air nozzle (12)
• Check the oil nozzle and air nozzle for proper function and unobstructed flow.
• Use a small pin or needle to gently remove any hardened deposits or contaminants from the nozzle openings.
Inspect the power cord
• Visually inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, wear, or fraying.
Inspect the power inlet (1)
• Visually inspect the power inlet for cracks or damage in the housing or corrosion on the metal contacts.

3. Firmly attach the grease gun or lubrication oil applicator to the lubrication port.
4. Slowly and steadily pump the grease gun or applicator to inject the lubrication oil
5. While applying lubrication oil, it may seep or drip from the collet or spindle area,
6. Use a clean cloth or paper towel to gently wipe away any excess lubrication oil.
7. Tighten the bolt on the lubrication port.
10.3 Storage
NOTICE!
» Thoroughly clean the tool, remove dirt, debris and any residual substances. Make
» Store the tool in a clean, dry and well-ventilated area. Avoid storing the tool in
Lubrication port
10.3.1 Before storage
• Switch off the tool, disconnect the power cord from the power source and from the
M3 hex key
• Clean and lubricate the tool.
10.3.2 Storing the tool
• Wrap the power cord neatly and avoid sharp bends or kinks that could lead to wire
• Position the tool on a flat, stable surface.
• Detach the quick-connect tap adapter from the collet chuck (10). Store the quick-
• Cover the tool with suitable covers to protect it from dust and debris.
• Periodically check on the stored tool to ensure it remains in good condition.
