21 Instructions for Cleaning and Care
Clean the Mobile Handheld Computer by setting it down on a surface (e.g. table). This way, you can hold it
securely and the Mobile Handheld Computer cannot slip out of your hands during the cleaning process.
Do not use any corrosive chemicals, cleaning solutions or strong
cleaning agents in order to clean the Mobile Handheld Computer,
battery and docking station.
CAUTION
21.1 Display
To clean the display, always switch the Mobile Handheld Computer off since the display reacts to being
touched and therefore the active program can be compromised or destroyed. Do not put a lot of pressure on
the display.
21.2 Window for scanner, camera, and camera lighting
In case of abnormalities during scanning, switch the Mobile Handheld Computer off and clean the scanner
pane with a soft-dry cloth. The scanner pane is very transparent and hardly visible with the naked eye.
Shape the cloth accordingly, so that it can be moved slightly back and forth in the scanner shaft. Do not put a
lot of pressure on the glass.
21.3 Charging and communication contacts
If there are charging or communication problems, clean the charging and communication contacts with a
soft, damp cloth.
When cleaning the charging and communication contacts of the
docking station, disconnect the device from the power!
CAUTION
21.4 Keyboard/Keys
To clean the keyboard/keys, always switch the Mobile Handheld Computer off since the keyboard/keys react
to being touched and therefore the active program can be compromised or destroyed. Do not put a lot of
pressure on the keyboard/keys.
22 Miscellaneous
EU directive about the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE,
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment)
All components must be returned to ACD Elektronik GmbH at the end of their service life for
recycling.
