7.4 Volumetric measurement for the pump
Prior to calibration, it is essential that the EcoUp is vented (see
Ä Chapter 7.3 'Venting the metering pump' on page 49 ), to get the
correct measurements.
Depending on the operating conditions (viscosity, temperatures, line
lengths, line cross-sections, back-pressure...), the actual metering
capacity at 100% may deviate from the rated metering capacity to
a greater or lesser extent. Performing a volumetric measurement of
the pump enables the actual dosage rate to be determined under the
prevailing on-site conditions.
We recommend the following measurement cylinder sizes for volumetric
measurement:
– 5l /h and 11 l/h: 250 ml
– 30 l/h: 1000 ml

Let the pump run at 100% metering capacity for one minute,
read off the extracted volume and multiply by 60 = the actual metering
capacity in l/h.
