On types FG and FS, the check can be performed
during operation.
8.5.4. Servicing the waste water pumps
It is possible to service the waste water pumps
without shutting down the complete system.
The pump station can then only be operated with
one active system side. The other system side is
serviced.
This procedure is to be considered as emergen-
cy mode. After maintenance, the system must
be switched back immediately to normal mode!
To service the pump station, switch it to emer-
gency mode as described under "Temporary
shutdown" and prepare accordingly.
For the maintenance to be carried out on the
waste water pump, please see the operating and
maintenance manual from the pump manufac-
turer.
8.5.5. Cleaning the collector tank and emergency
overflow
There are cleaning openings in the cover of the
collector tank. These cleaning openings allow the
collector tank and intake distributor to be cleaned
without shutting down the pump station.
When cleaning the collector tank, the pipe
intake must be closed!
• We recommend spraying the walls with
a p owerful water jet or high pressure cleaner.
• Remove deposits from the intake ports on the
floor. A suction vehicle may be needed for this.
The fill level sensors must not be damaged
during the cleaning work. Check the switching
points after cleaning is completed!
8.5.6. Cleaning the solids separation tanks
It is possible to service the solids separation tanks
without shutting down the complete system.
The pump station can then only be operated with
one active system side. The other system side is
serviced.
This procedure is to be considered as emergen-
cy mode. After maintenance, the system must
be switched back immediately to normal mode!

gency mode as described under "Temporary
shutdown" and prepare accordingly.
Pump station without slider on the intake side
1. Loosen the flange connection on the discharge
port of the waste water pump.
2. Pull the pump vertically out of the "intake port
seat" by turning it back and forth slightly around
the axis.
3. Close the intake port seat with the adapter
supplied.
• Insert the adapter in the "intake port seat"
as far as it will go by turning it back and forth
slightly around the axis.

• Then connect the ventilation and bleeder hose
line to the system's central bleeding device
(similar to pump bleeding).
• Lubricate the outside of the pipe with acid-free
grease (e.g. Vaseline) to make it easier to push
in the adapter.

maintenance manual from the pump manufac-
turer.
5. Maintenance of the solids separation tank, flap
system and shut-off balls.
• Release the flap mount flange of the solids
separation tank (1x or 2x, depending on the
type) and then pull the flap mount horizontally
out of the solids separation tank.
6. Use this access to the solids separation tank to
clean the solids separation tank and the separa-
tion system and to remove the shut-off balls.
7. Check the roundness of the balls, e.g. visually
or by rolling them on a flat surface. Renew the
balls if:
• The balls have lost their roundness
• There is water inside the balls
• The seal seat has left visible impressions.
8. Rebuild the entire system in the opposite
sequence.
9. Test run and visual leak check of each pump side.
The pumps, intake pipe and discharge pipe are
bled automatically after maintenance.
Pump station with slider on the intake side
1. After the collector tank is pumped empty,
close the slider on the intake side immediately.
2. Loosen the flange connection on the discharge
port of the waste water pump.
3. Loosen the flange connection on the intake
port of the waste water pump.
4. Lift the pump out.

6. Maintenance of the solids separation tank, flap
system and shut-off balls.
• Release the flap mount flange of the solids

out of the solids separation tank.
