Operation
Preconditions
The following conditions must be met for operation in time mode:
–
Heating bath heater of the rotary evaporator is switched on
–
Recirculation chiller is switched on
–
Vacuum pump is switched on
–
Rotary evaporator is under filling vacuum
–
Process parameters are set correctly on the rotary evaporator
–
Level sensor S4 calibrated
Before the initial filling of the evaporation flask or before the first
process step, it must be ensured in time mode that all process
parameters (vacuum, temperature, speed, cooling) are set correctly
on the rotary evaporator.
Otherwise, there may be inaccuracies in the recipe processing!
Procedure
➜
Initial filling in time mode: This step is only necessary to prevent drying or crystal-
lization of the educt. Activate with the
screen form, see following section "Time mode parameters" on page 138. For the
initial filling, it is essential to observe the instructions in section "Initial filling of the
evaporation flask" on page 109.
➜
In time mode, a defined quantity is filled into the evaporation flask and immediately
vaporized within a specified time:
–
The fill quantity is defined by the
evaporation time
–
The
pre-evacuation
➜
Due to the
starts immediately while filling. After processing a step, the evaporation flask is
filled again and the following step is processed:
–
The number of steps in a cycle is parameterized by the user. This value depends
on the desired target quantity, which is to form in layers in the evaporation
flask.
➜
After processing the specified number of steps, a cycle is run through and the
residue is pressed out of the evaporation flask by means of overpressure.
–
The number of cycles is parameterized by the user.
➜
At the end of the last cycle, all connected devices are switched off (operating safe
state, end of process).
In time mode, the system containers are monitored by sensors!
The end process can be initiated and/or an ongoing process can
be terminated and the evaporator can be put into a safe operating
state when a corresponding signal is emitted by a sensor.
