2. Install the empty filter basket and por-
tafilter in the group head. Empty the
drip tray.
3. In standby mode, press the 2 CUP
button and allow water to run for 20
seconds.
4. Then press the 2 CUP button again to
stop and release pressure.

CLEAR WATER BACKFLUSH

After each coffee making session, we
recommend doing a clear water backflush
before you turn off the machine.
1. Empty the drip tray.
2. Insert the cleaning disc into the filter
basket and place the filter basket into
the portafilter.
3. Then insert the portafilter into the
group head.
4. Press the 2 CUP button and allow
pressure to build for 20 seconds.
5. Then press the 2 CUP button again to
stop.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 five times to pur-
ge any fine coffee grounds and resi-
dual coffee oils from the brew water
paths.
CLEANING THE DRIP TRAY AND
STORAGE TRAY
The drip tray should be removed, emp-
tied and cleaned after each use or, at
the latest, when the drip tray indicator is
showing "Empty Me!".
IMPORTANT: Do not use abrasive clean-
sers, pads or cloths which can scratch the
surfaces.
1. Remove the grill from the drip tray,
and then take out the drip tray indica-
tor.
2. Take out the drip tray and empty the
drip tray in the sink. Dispose of resi-
dues of coffee ground in domestic
waste.
3. Wash the drip tray in warm soapy
water. Wipe dry the exterior of the
drip tray.
4. With the drip tray removed from the
Espresso Machine, you can take out
the storage tray. Clean the storage
tray with a soft, damp cloth. There-
after, wipe dry.
5. Replace storage tray, drip tray, drip
tray indicator and grill.
CLEANING THE BASE AND WAR-
MING PLATE
IMPORTANT: Do not use abrasive clean-
sers, pads or cloths which can scratch the
surfaces.
The outer housing and cup warming tray
can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
Polish with a soft, dry cloth.
