YOUR PERSONAL SETTINGS
You can program the Espresso Machine
according to your individual like. Some
settings and functions used frequently are
accessible via the MENU button. See:
›Programmable Functions‹.
Some further settings for experienced users
are described in section ›Advanced Set-
tings‹.
The programs for cleaning and descaling
are described in chapter ›Care and Clea-
ning‹. Please refer to this chapter, before
using these functions.
ENERGY SAVING MODE
You can select if the appliance will enter
the <Auto-Off-Mode> automatically if
not used for 5, 10 or 20 minutes. Duri-
ng the <Auto-Off-Mode>, all button light
surrounds will not be illuminated and no
energy will be consumed. To re-activate
the machine, simply press the power but-
ton. The Power button surround will then
illuminate and flash, while the machine
quickly reheats to operation temperature.
When the correct temperature has been
reached, all the button surrounds on the
control panel will illuminate.
PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS
Note:
The MENU button is disabled when the
Espresso Machine is making coffee/
espresso or dispensing hot water.
1. To enter program mode, press the
MENU button.
The LCD display shows the first pro-
grammable function ("1 CUP"). A
list of the programmable functions is
shown on the bottom line of the LCD
display.
2. Rotate the SELECT dial to the desired
function.
3. Press the SELECT dial to select the func-
tion.
Thereafter you can set the desired
value by turning the SELECT dial
again.
4. With the desired value on the LCD
display, press the SELECT button to
confirm the setting. A beep sounds
and the Espresso Machine switches
back to standby mode.
Note:
You can access the main programma-
ble parameters this way. However, for
experienced users there are some more
parameters to adjust to your individual
liking. See: ›Advanced Settings‹.
When in program mode, you may switch
back to standby mode any time. Simply
press the MENU button again.
Program mode allows you to program the
