5.10 Other tabs in the QuantumX Assistant Ribbon

Important
In order to output values, the QuantumX modules must be connected via
FireWire. In addition, the Isochronous data transfer must be activated for all
signals that are to be used as a source signal for an output of another module
(Signals or Functions tab). This activates the data exchange between the
various modules and ensures that the values concerned are transmitted via
FireWire so that they are available to the other modules (isochronous signals
are displayed in bold text in the Sources component window).
Functions
The Functions tab allows you to configure the peak value detection or
mathematic functions, e.g. effective value or torsional vibration detection in
those modules that support these functions. Where required, activate the
function channels display for the relevant modules via the component window
Modules (click on the module or on the computer).
Outputs
The Outputs tab allows you to configure the signals to be output for modules
that can output the signals from other modules. In the window, click on the
Analog outputs tab to configure the signals.
5.11 Specify the NTP time server (synchronization)
In principle, the time information can be made available via various sources in
QuantumX. The version to be used is dependent on your device configuration:
1. If you use just one QuantumX module
Use the time server installed on your PC and enter the IP address of the
PC in QuantumX.
2. You are using several QuantumX modules that are also connected via
FireWire
Use the time server installed on your PC and enter the IP address of the
PC in the QuantumX module with the highest UUID (serial number).
3. You are using several QuantumX modules that are only connected via
Ethernet
Use the time server installed on your PC and enter the IP address of the
PC in all QuantumX modules.
