QuantumX driver for CANape
3 Installation
Place the QuantumX system CD into your drive. In the standard configuration,
Windows automatically opens the CD and displays the Start window in which
you select the language for installation.
Should you have deactivated the Windows Autostart function or have received
the installation file via a download, find the Setup.exe file (root directory of
the CD or download) and double‐click on the associated icon to obtain the
Start window.
Select the language in which the software should be installed on the Start
screen. On the next screen, click on QuantumX software and then on Next.
Read the licensing agreements and specify the directory in which the software
is to be installed: Confirm the proposed target directory or click on Browse to
select the directory you require. If necessary, Setup.exe creates the
directory you have specified and then copies all necessary working files to it.
The HBM driver for CANape DaIo_HBM_QuantumX_Driver.dll will be
installed by the HBM setup in the sub‐directory \10.0\Exec of the CANape
installation directory.
Programs to be installed
The following programs must be installed:

QuantumX Assistant

QuantumX CANape driver
We also recommend installing the following programs:

TEDS Editor
The Editor is required in order to view, edit or enter data in a TEDS
module (Transducer Electronic DataSheet).

QuantumX firmware update
All QuantumX modules must be operated with the same firmware version,
a mix of older and new modules is not permitted. You can load the
currently valid firmware into the modules with the firmware update
program.
Download the latest update firmware from the HBM website, see Section 6
on Page 30.
