5. Define functions such as peak value acquisition or the calculation of the
effective value if you have the corresponding modules.
6. Specify the output signals, if you have the relevant modules.
5.3 Connect to QuantumX (first time)
1. Click on (Search) in the Quick Access Toolbar.
The Search for modules dialog (Fig. 5.9) is displayed.

2. Search for your modules in the network: Search the network(s) and
select from the result.
Both the Ethernet interface(s) and - if present - the FireWire interfaces
are searched. The modules found are displayed in the list and can be
selected.
3. Select the module(s) to be operated with CANape.
If the modules are not in the same Ethernet segment, no connection can
be made. In this case, assign different Ethernet addresses via Edit
network settings.
4. Click on OK.
The QuantumX Assistant connects to the selected module(s) and displays
the channel assignment (Fig. 5.6, Page 18).
