4.4. Adjustment of carburetor main jets to ambient conditions

The carburetor is set in serial production with a jetting (main jet 185) for ambient temperature of
25°C / 77°F and an altitude of 400 m / 1300 ft above sea level. If the engine is operated at other
ambient temperatures and altitudes, change the carburetor main jet as per Chart 1A or 1B to
optimize the engine performance.

If you wish to operate the vehicle in a zone where the ambient temperature or the
altitude is outside the Chart values, contact your distribution partner or a ROTAX
Service Center.
When operating the engine at temperatures below 10° C / 50° F take particular not
to demand the full potential of the engine before the minimum coolant temperature
of 35 ° C / 95° F is reached or before the signal "COLD" has extinguished on the
multi-functional display.
If you want to use your vehicle on different circuits at various ambient temperatures
and altitudes – without changing the main jet – choose a main jet according to the
lowest temperature and lowest sea level.
In case of doubt always start with the richer jetting (bigger main jet).
