MD MESSAGES
Refer to the following chart if a massage appears on the display.
DISPLAY
Blank Disc No signal is recorded on the MD.
Cannot Copy Recording was attempted from a copy-protected CD.
Disc Error The MD is scratched or damaged.
The TOC was not written.
Toc Error The TOC was written incorrectly.
Cheat Disc! Data on the MD was damaged.
No Disc The MD is not inserted.
Protected The erasure protection tab is set to the protect position.
TRK Protect The track was set to "track protect" in another MD
recorder.
No Digital No digital signal is received.
Disc Full No blank space is available on the MD.
Track Full No space is available in the TOC for (track name, disc
name, etc.)
Cannot EDIT Random play or programmed play mode is selected.
Read-only MD is inserted.
Impossible Combining was attempted from track 1 while editing.
Name Full Disc and track names are more than 1700 characters.
Sorry Combining was attempted with tracks which cannot be
combined.
Dividing was attempted at the beginning of track while
editing.
EDIT Busy Editing is busy.
REC Error The unit was disturbed while recording (vibration, shock,
etc.)
REC Busy Recording is busy and recording may not be done
correctly.
UTOC Error The unit was disturbed while saving recordings (vibration,
shock, etc.)
EXPLANATION CORRECTIVE ACTION
Use another CD.
Replace the MD.
Replace with another MD.
Replace with another MD.
Insert the MD, or reinsert the MD.
Set the tab to the recording position.
Reset the track protect in original MD recorder.
Check the connection of the optical cable.
Replace with another recordable MD.
Erase undesirable tracks.
Replace with another MD.
Select normal play mode.
Select track 2 (or over).
Shorten the name.
Wait until "EDIT Busy" disappears.
Make the recording again.
Wait until "REC Busy" disappears.
Check the recordings.
Recordings may not be saved correctly. Check the
recordings.
