BEFORE MD RECORDING [MD deck]
MD recording system
There are two areas on the MD used for storing data: one for the music
(sound), one for an index (track numbers, tracks names, etc.) (Fig. 17).
After each track is recorded, the information regarding the track is written
on the index area of the MD. When playing the MD, the MD deck reads this
information (TOC) to locate the track. When editing the track information,
the deck modifies the information.
(TOC: Table of Contents)
Note:
When "TOC" is lit, do not disconnect the mains lead.
Track number
When recording from a CD
Digital input mode is selected automatically.
Track numbers are assigned automatically in the same order as on the
CD. (Synchronized marker) (Fig. 18)
-
During CD to MD recording, the recording time may not match.
When recording from the tuner, tape or video
Analog input mode is selected automatically.
A continuous recording is considered to be one track.
Safeguards to prevent accidental erasure
