Product description

PNP or NPN ejector variant
The switching behavior of the ejector's electrical inputs and its output can be
adjusted and therefore is not dependent on the variant.
The ejectors are set to PNP as their factory settings.
Every ejector has an exact article designation (e.g. ECD-LV-EC-20-NO-RD).
The ejectors are distinguished into NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed)
based on their basic position when no voltage is applied.
The breakdown for the article designation is as follows:
Type
ECD-LV
Operating mode:
EC
electrical
Performance class
20; 25
Home position
NO (normally open)
suction without current
System monitoring
VD (digital vacuum
switch,
on request)
O Refer to the name plate of your version for further details.

Display and Operating Elements

Vacuum/pressure indicator
The display either shows the current system vacuum or the menu. The 2 LEDs H1
and H2 indicate in which range the vacuum level currently is with respect to the set
threshold values.
The ejector features 4 buttons, a three-digit display, four LEDs, and a status display
for the system vacuum.
For an explanation of the symbols of the display see table
Process state LEDs
Process states "suction" and "blow-off" each have an LED assigned.

Status display for system vacuum
The ejector features a status display for the system vacuum. and for monitoring
functions.
The system status is indicated by the colors RED or GREEN.
The status display is refreshed for each suction cycle that was activated (NC)
or deactivated (NO) via the "suction" signal input.
In regular suction cycles, the status display indicates the height of the current
system vacuum in relation to the switching point H1. The status display goes out
at the end of a regular suction cycle.

Monitoring functions
If the switching point H1 is never reached within a suction cycle, the status display
remains RED at the end of the suction cycle.
The ejector variant with air economizer function (RD) features a valve protection
function. If the air economizer function is activated [ctr=on] and high leakage in the
gripping system, the ejector very frequently switches between the status "Venturi
valve active" and "Venturi valve inactive". This vastly increases the number of
switching procedures of the valves within a very short period of time. To protect the
ejector and increase the service life, the ejector automatically switches off the air
economizer function with a switching frequency of >6/3 s and activates permanent
suction, i.e. the ejector remains in the "Venturi valve active" status. The status display
remains RED until the next regular suction cycle.
