6.1

Connection options

You can choose to set up different connection
options.
Using the Ethernet connection, you can establish:
data transmission of the BPT-M Touch to the

Internet portal (Establishing a connection to the
internet portal, p. 47)
or
direct access from a PC to the web server of the

BPT-M Touch (Accessing the BPT-M Touch directly
from a PC, p. 49)
Before installation, check whether additional
components (e.g. routers) are required. If you require
help, please contact a grid technology specialist.
If you want to monitor large-scale systems using the
BPT-M Touch, the manufacturer recommends a
permanent Internet connection.
DSL connection or ISDN connection

– Nominal minimum bandwidth 128 kbit/s
With a permanent Internet connection, the
manufacturer's service centre can support you if you
have any problems. If you have any questions about
the communications link of the BPT-M Touch contact
the manufacturer's service centre (contact
information on the back of the manual) or an
appropriate grid technology specialist.
6.2 Establishing a connection to the
internet portal
To gain access to the PV system and the data of the
BPT-M Touch, you must first register your PV system
in the Internet portal. Then you can establish access.
