5.5 Optional: Connecting the
GridControl
Materials required
 5-pin CAN cable with 5-pin M12 connectors on both
sides (included in the scope of delivery)
You can connect a GridControl to the BPT-M Touch.
For more information about the GridControl, please
refer to the GridControl operating manual.

Procedure
1. Ensure that the central inverter is connected to the
GridControl.
2. Plug one end of the CAN cable into the CAN In
Inverter port on the GridControl and screw in the
end of the CAN cable.
3. Plug the other end of the CAN cable into the BPT-
M Touch Inverter port and screw in the other end
of the CAN cable (Overview of connections below
the display, p. 19).
4. Complete the CAN bus connection by connecting
the terminator (included in the scope of delivery)
to the CAN Out Inverter port of the GridControl.
If you prepare the CAN cable yourself, follow the
wiring diagram.
Material damage due to incorrect connection
Incorrect wiring configuration may restrict the
correct operation of the BPT-M Touch or central
inverter, or damage them.
 Check the wires are assigned correctly to the
female connectors according to the wiring diagram
