16.5 Phototube
The WILD M7A and M7S Stereomicroscopes
are ideal for photomicrography with one of
the Wild Modular Photomicrographic Sys-
tems (fig. 2), for television and for cinemicro-
graphy.
Phototube A is for a monocular camera
assembly; Phototubes HU and HV are for a
trinocular camera assembly.
- Position the phototube over the left or the
right beam path of the optics carrier and
secure it.
The vertical-beam position is to be pre-
ferred for the M7S Stereomicroscope,
under which circumstances the photo-
tube with camera must be mounted over
the left beam path.
- Accessories such as the coaxial incident
illuminator,
the
double-iris
diaphragm
and the filter slide housing are to be fitted
between the optics carrier and the photo-
tube.
- Equip the HU and HV Phototubes with a
binoculartube.
The transmitted-light Stands EB and bright/
dark field, and the 6 V / 2 0 W incident lamp,
are particularly appropriate for photomicro-
graphy on account of their high light Output,
homogeneous Illumination and ideal colour
temperature.
Camera for Wild Modular Photomicrogra-
phic System
To fit a Wild shutterpiece, first place an eye-
piece tube (77) with a fixed eyepiece (9) in the
phototube.

Single-Iens reflex camera
Commercially-available
single-lens
reflex
cameras can be connected to Wild stereo-
microscopes via a phototube with eyepiece
tube (77), fixed eyepiece, connecting tube,
0.32*camera objective, adapterandT-mount.
TV and eine cameras
A TV camera or eine camera can also be very
easily attached to a phototube.
For single-stage imaging, the connecting
member is an adapter with C-mount (78).
For two-stage
imaging, the connecting
members consist of an eyepiece tube (77)
with fixed eyepiece and an objective f = 50 mm
with C-mount.
