6.2 L o w - v o l t a g e lamp 6 V / 1 0 W
The 6 V / 1 0 W low-voltage lamp is for illu-
minating opaque objects obliquely from
above.
The 6 V / 1 0 W low-voltage lamp can be pro-
vided with an incünable lampholder (45) or
with a clampable one (46).
The clampable lampholder can be secured
in any position by means of a central clamp-
ing knob (47). When loosening this clamping
knob, hold the lamp housing. Because the
connectors at the two ends of the arm are
identical, the arm can be attached to adapters
and to the rotatable coupling (50) of the lamp.
One or two low-voltage lamps can be attached
to the mount of the main objective of the
M 7 A Stereomicroscope (fig. 3):
- Unscrewand remove the ring (19).
- Slide either an adapter (48) and a spacing
ring, or two adapters for double Illumina-
tion, over the mount of the objective.
- Replace the ring (19).
- Connect the adapter, the lampholder and
the lamp housing.
- Connect one or two low-voltage lamps to
the 7 V regulating transformier (see section
9) and align relative to the object.
- The light spot can be individually focused
by turning the lamp mount (51).
The lampholder can be attached to the co-
lumn of a stand by means of an adapter diam.
25 m m , which will also connect it to a sepa-
rate cast base (fig. 2), to the carrier rod of the
swinging-arm stand, or to one of the two Short
posts on the rectangular Stands for incident
and transmitted light. This has the advantage
that the relative positions of the illumination
and the objective"remain unchanged during
focusing.
With the M7S Stereomicroscope, this ar-
rangement prevents disturbance of the illu-
mination when the main objective is swung
out:
- Depending on the working distance, se-
cure one or two adapters (49) beneath the
safety ring or above the drive housing on
the column of the stand.
Changing the bulb;
Note: Always use a cloth to hold the halogen
bulb.
An arrow on the lamp mount and a line on the
lamp housing indicate the position at which
the two parts can be separated by pulläng.
The lamp mount clicks automaticaiiy into
position again when refitted.
Two 50 mm diameter filterholders can be
attached to each of the two pegs on the lamp
housing and can be swung in as required.
A heat-absorbing filter is supplied with this
lamp.
