1.1 S w i n g i n g - a r m and t a b l e - c l a m p
Stands
Two modeis of swinging-arm stand and table-
clamp stand are available for the VVILD M7A
and M7S Stereomicroscopes (figs. 1, 2). Each
consists of a stable base or a clamp, a post
(20), a horizontal arm (21) and an inclinable
carrier rod (22).
The post and the horizontal arm of the large
swinging-arm stand and of the large table-
clamp stand are larger, so the radius of acti-
vity is extended (fig. 2).
The clamp of the table-clamp Stands can be
secured to table tops 20 mm-50 mm thick.
- Secure the cross-member (29) to the post
with the clamping screw (24) and tighten
the safety ring (23).
- Slide the horizontal arm into the cross-
member and secure it with screw (25).
- Slide the carrier rod over the horizontal
arm and secure it with the clamping screw
(26).
- The clamping lever (27) enables the in-
clinable carrier rod to be fixed at any angle.
The two clamping levers can be pulled out
along their axes and reset at another Po-
sition.
- Remove the end-stop(28).
- Mount the stereomicroscope and, where
appropriate, the low-voltage lamp (see
section 6) on the carrier rod. Repiace the
end-stop.
The following movements are possible with
the swinging-arm and table-clamp Stands:
- The horizontal arm can be swung out
sideways.
- The carrier rod can be tilted
- The working distance is variable
- The horizontal arm can be extended.
