10. Stages
The use of special stages simplifies work with
Wild stereomicroscopes; they can be used on
all Stands.
- Remove the stage plate and stage clips
supplied as Standard (fig. 1).
- Move the stereomicroscope correspond-
ingly higher on the 350 mm column and
secure it with the wing screw and the
safety ring.
10.1 Gliding stage
The giiding stage (fig. 2) can bequickly moved
in äny direction and rotated.
- Place the stage in the cutout in the base
of the incident- or transmitted-light stand
and secure it with the lever (81).
- Fit a glass or black/white stage plate and
the two stage clips.
10.2 Cup stage
Thecupstage(fig.3)isessentialforexamining
cultures in petri dishes which are held in Po-
sition by a movable.holder. Insects and plants
are secured to the rubber surface with
needles.
- Place the supporting ring in the stage
cutout.
- Add the cup stage, which can be tilted to
any position.
- The f reedom of movement of the cup stage
can be further increased by mounting iton
the gliding stage (fig. 4).
10.3 Stage carrier w i t h mechanical
stage
The stage carrier with mechanical stage
(fig. 5) facilitates the systennatic scanning of
specimens.
- Place the stage carrier in the stage cutout
and secure it with the lever (81).
- Add the appropriate stage plate (glass or
black/white, as appropriate).
- Secure the mechanical stage to the stage
carrier with the Allen screw (82). The me-
chanical stage can also be used on the
rotating Pol. stage.
The object is secured with the arm and is
moved in an x- or a y-direction (27 mm x
97 mm) with the knobs of the mechanical
stage.
