h) Installing the Rotor
The rotor (1) is placed on the rotor carrier (2) according to
the adjacent figure and screwed on with the cap nut (3).
Use the included hexagon socket key (4) to check both
threaded pins of the rotor carrier for firm seat.
Important information!
If you align the model horizontally and then look
at it from the side, you will quickly notice that
the rotor is not exactly vertical to the longitudi-
nal fuselage axle (see figure 19, interrupted line),
but slightly slanted.
This is intentional and not a defect of the model
or the motor attachment!
To ease the landing procedure especially for beginners, the model was designed in such a way that it still flies properly
at low speed. This is why a profile with a very high lift value was selected for the wings.
At full engine power, however, the model would rise much too steep while loosing speed at the same time due to the
high aerodynamic lift. The inevitable consequence would be a stall, which would crash the plane.
For this reason, the rotor is mounted in such a way that it not only pulls the model forward but also prevents excess
climbing at the same time. The required down thrust (downwards tilt of the motor shaft) was exactly determined for
this. The model will rise at a flat angle at full engine speed (without having to use the elevator control) and always keep
a sufficient flight speed.
