m) Inserting the flight battery

• Rechargeable 6-8 cell NiMH batteries (Image 15 A) or
rechargeable 2-cell LiPo batteries (Image 15 B) are
suitable as flight batteries.
Please note that when using rechargeable LiPo
batteries, the flight control system must be suitable
for this kind of battery.
• The flight battery (1) is fitted on the removable
intermediate floor (2).
In order for the battery to remain firmly in its position
and for it to be easily removed for recharging, Velcro
fastener straps have proven very suitable.
The fluffy part is affixed to the battery and the fastening
part is firmly affixed to the interim floor.
• For larger and heavier battery packs it is by all means
advisable to rap the Velcro strip fully around the battery
and to firmly connect it to the interim floor.
• The power connection of the flight control system (3)
must be accordingly moved from the front fuselage area
to the rear.
