h) Mounting the flight control system

Important!
The model can be optionally operated with a rechargeable 6-8 cell NiMH battery or a rechargeable 2-
cell LiPo battery. In order to prevent a damaging deep discharge during flight when using a rechargeable
LiPo battery, a flight control system must be used which is designed for this type of rechargeable
battery.
• In order to solder the flight control system (1) on the
engine (2), it is practical to disassemble the engine.
Practical tip:
Drip one or two drops of thin fluid super glue into the
screw boring (3), in order to strengthen the wood.
This will help the screw to find a secure grip even if the
engine is disassembled several times over.
Warning!
AS the gear changes the propeller's direction of
rotation, the engine must be connected as "poled".
The plus connection of the flight control system must
be connected with the minus connection of the engine.
The minus connection of the flight control system must
be connected with the plus connection of the engine
(red dot on the engine).
• Depending on the control type, it may be necessary to
solder on suitable connectors to connect the
rechargeable battery (4).
• After mounting the engine, the flight control system is
glued to the fuselage floor (5) with two-sided adhesive
tape (servo tape) right behind the engine.
