9. Operating the model

a) Inserting and connecting the flight battery
Attach the fleecy part of a self-adhesive Velcro tape (2) to the bottom of the
flight battery. The "hook" part (3) is attached to the inside of the model.
Now insert the flight battery tilted from the bottom into the battery compartment
and attach it in the correct position. See the next section ("Setting the centre of
gravity") to determine the exact position of the battery.
Once the flight battery is secured in the fuselage, you can easily connect the
connectors of the speed controller to the battery plugs (4).

b) Setting the centre of gravity

The flight battery must be installed in the battery compartment so that the centre
of gravity is exactly at the leading edge of the lower wing.
For the first flight, you can move the centre of gravity a little to the front, which
will require you to slightly employ the elevator to control the plane.

c) Setting the rudder deflections

If correctly assembled and if the transmitter settings are made properly, the rudders should show the following deflection values (measured at the rear edge):
Aileron
12 - 15 mm upwards
Elevator
10 - 12 mm upwards
Caution!
These values represent the upper and lower limits of the rudder deflections. Adjust the deflections individually to suit your personal preferences.
It is a proven method to reduce the rudder effect with a switchable dual rate function and to mix an appropriate share of exponential function to the
rudders.

10 - 12 mm downwards
