f) Fitting the servos

• The linkage of the two rudders requires two micro servos
(e.g. Conrad order no.: 223142).
Before you install the servos in the fuselage, it is practical
to prepare the servo levers (1).
To this end, expand one of the existing borings in the
servo lever to 2 mm at a distance of approx. 10 mm
from the swivel.
• Push a grommet on the thread of the stud bolt (2) and
insert it from the top through the expanded boring into
the servo lever.
Fit the second grommet and tighten the knurled screw
(3). The knurled screw is then secured against
unintended loosening with glue or securing varnish.
Important!
Tighten the knurled screw only to the extent that the stud bolt can be slightly be moved in the servo
lever.
• A broad servo duct is intended for installing the servos
in the model in which the servos can be horizontally
moved and thus positioned individually.
• The right servo as seen in flight direction (1) is intended
for operating the vertical rudder and the left servo (2)
for operating the elevator rudder.
• In order to define the ideal place of mounting, we
recommend activating the remove control system and
connecting the two servos.
Due to the rotating direction of the servos you can
precisely recognise whether a servo lever has to be
mounted to the right or left in order to achieve the correct
movement direction on the rudder.
