Operation of the Helicopter

a) Charging the Flight Battery
The dual-cell flight battery (1) is charged using the supplied
mains adapter (2) and the LiPo charger (3).
When charging, always remove the battery from the model
in order to prevent shape distortion of the plastic parts if the
components heat up.
First connect the mains adapter to the right side of the LiPo
charger (4).
The plug of the 3-pin battery cable (5) (protected against
wrong polarity) is connected to the left of the LiPo charger.
The 2-pole connection cable with the BEC plug is not re-
quired for charging. Later on, you connect the battery to the
model with this cable.
For photo-technical reasons, the charger of the plug-in mains unit is illustrated in the wound-up state.
Before first use, the cable retainer should be opened and the cable unwound.
Attention!
The LiPo charger is either designed for 2-cell LiPo batteries with 7.4 V and a narrow lug (part of the
delivery) or for 3-cell LiPo batteries with 11.1 V and a broad plug (not part of the delivery).
Never connect two rechargeable batteries to the charger at the same time!
After you have connected the mains adapter to a mains outlet, two of the three charge control LEDs light up red (see
figure 3, item 6) and indicate the charge process. The third LED (see figure 3, item 7) lights up green with a dual-cell
rechargeable battery and red with a triple-cell rechargeable battery.
Once all three LEDs are green, the charge process is finished and the rechargeable battery may be separated from
the LiPo charger. Unplug the mains adapter out of the mains socket.
Attention!
During the charging procedure, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof support or in an appropriate pottery
container. Never charge the rechargeable battery unattended.
The plug-in mains adapter is to be used in dry indoor locations only. It must not get damp or wet. Never
touch it when your hands are wet or damp. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock.
