d) Mounting the vertical tail unit

• Before you can insert the vertical tail unit (1) into the
elevator rudder (2), the film must again be removed from
the adhesive joints (3).
As with the elevator rudder, ensure that a small film
stripe remains which later sticks into the adhesive joint.
• After inserting, the vertical tail unit must be positioned
in a 90°-angle to the elevator rudder (see sketch).
Our tip:
Until the glue is dry, the vertical tail unit should be
secured with a support (4) made from balsa wood,
cardboard stripes, etc. and two pins.
• Finally, stick two stripes of adhesive film each on the
right and left sides (5) as an additional strap hinge below
the elevator rudder. This secures the vertical rudder
additionally.
Important!
Ensure that this does not limit the maximum possible movement of the vertical rudder is not limited.
