i) Mounting the cowling

• Prebore a 1.5-mm hole on the right and left side at a
distance of 3 mm to the edge and 12 mm to the corner
of the cowling.
• Push the cowling on the fuselage and adjust the cowling
so that the propeller shaft (1) is precisely in the centre
of the cowling opening (2).
• Mark the positions for the boring holes in the fuselage
through the boring holes in the cowling.
Remove the cowling and prebore the screw holes in
the fuselage also with a 1.5 mm drill.
Practical tip:
Drip some drops of thin fluid super glue into the bores in the fuselage so that the screws still have a secure grip after
several times of screwing in and unscrewing.
• Once you have expanded the borings in the cowling with a key file to 2 mm, you can fit the cowling and carefully
tighten it with the 4 supplied screws (see Figure 12).
