6.4.1 TDI Tread Depth Indication
When run in
machine always automatically detects the depth of
the tread groove at the centre of the tire and over its
whole circumference.
According to the mean value detected and the limit
value set, the program displays one of the following
Tread Groove indications on screen (Fig. 6-43):
a) GREEN icon = higher than limit set.
b) YELLOW icon = close to limit.
c) RED icon = below limit set.
Note: The information provided for the operator
is intended as a guideline only. The
TDI function is designed to alert the
operator to the need for a closer
examination of wear on the tread.
You can set the tread depth limit value for which
wear information will appear on screen. To change
the limit value go to the "Settings" Screen" (9, Fig.
4-5).
Access the following:
"Optima Settings - Tread Depth Limit",
finally set the desired value,
between 10mm and 0mm and press ESC.
6.4.1.1 Print functions
When a printer is connected, configured and

enabled in the "Settings" menu of the balancer,
the user can access the print management items
in every screen (Fig. 6-44). In according to the
Operating Mode and the Function currently active,
the following item can be selected:
0) Memorize on USB Drive. Export the acquired
numerical data (Profiling, Plot 3D, etc.).
1) Print the Balancing results.
2) Print the results of the in-depth analysis (Harmonics).
3) Print the wear data for the Set of wheels (you must
assign, in the vehicle screen, the single wheels
examined in the set.
4) Print the RFV data for the Set of wheels.
5) Print the current screen.
6) Aborts the print in progress.
If the Snap-on Network has been previously enabled,

the following item can be selected (Fig. 6-44.a):
7) TOGGLE key; to enable the print in local (prepares
the report to be sent to the balancer printer).
