10 Removal and disposal

When the control system has reached the end of its service life, it must be disassembled and disposed of
in an environmentally friendly way.

10.1 Removal

Before starting removal:
• Disconnect control system from the mains (caution, capacitors mean voltage may still be present after
being disconnected). Bring in a specialist for the disassembly process.
• Then dismantle all the modules and components, taking applicable local environmental regulations
into consideration.

10.2 Disposal

The dismantled components are to be recycled after being disassembled properly:
• Separate the packaging and recycle.
• Scrap any leftover metallic materials.
• The control system is to be taken for recycling of waste electrical equipment
