6.7.3 Adjusting pump type
The pump type used can be adjusted in the menu Processing/Pump type. You can choose between
the following pump types:
•
Single-phase: corresponds to a 230V pump
•
Three-phase: corresponds to a 400V pump
•
Frequency converter: the pump is controlled by a frequency converter and can thus be operated
at various speeds
•
Contactor: Pump is connected to an external contactor which is switched on by the control system
The power supply lines for the single-phase pump, the three-phase pump or the external contactor must
be connected the terminal A1. If a frequency converter is used, the pump must be externally supplied with
continuous voltage. Only the control lines will then be connected to the control system. The following
terminals are available for connecting the control lines:
•
A13 (speed 2 - normal, potential-free closer)
•
A14 (speed 3 - increased, potential-free closer)
•
A15 (speed 1 - slow, potential-free closer)
•
A16 (stop signal, potential-free switch)
•
A18 (speed as a percentage, standard signal 0-10V)
6.7.4 Frequency converter settings
The Frequency converter settings submenu is only available when a frequency converter has been set as
the pump type (Processing/Pump type). The type of the frequency converter used can be adjusted in the
submenu Processing/FC settings. This is shown in figure 5. The user can adjust the following frequency
converter parameters:
•
FC type: If an external frequency converter (external) or a pump with integrated frequency
converter is used. If the pump has an integrated frequency converter, you can choose between
a frequency converter with or without a stop signal. Depending on the settings, the potential-free
terminals are switched in different logic circuits. This circuit can be found in table 2.
•
Interfering signal: Defines whether the frequency converter interfering signal works as a an open
contact or closed contact.
•
Speed X: If the integrated frequency converter is controlled using a standard signal (0-10V), the
corresponding signals can be given as percentages. The values given here are also displayed in the
remote panel
