61 Operating Concept
Instagrid LINK MAX combines three Instagrid ONE devices to generate a 3-phase 400-V-AC supply
This device is designed for short-time operation according to operating mode S2 as per
DIN EN 60034-1 This means that operation under constant load is permissible for a maximum duration
of 48 minutes After this operating time, the device must be switched off and allowed to cool sufficient-
ly before it can be put back into operation This cooling phase is crucial to prevent overheating and to
ensure the lifespan of the device During operation, the load remains constant, without interruptions or
load changes

Off The Instagrid LINK MAX is not supplied with power or the
inputs are not yet ready or were not recognised
The LEDs at the 3x 2-pole contactors (input)
glow in green
Operation All three inputs of the Instagrid LINK MAX are supplied
with power The LEDs at the 3x 2-pole contactors (input)
glow in red
Within the first 10 seconds, the LED of the insulation
monitoring device flashes in orange for an initial self-test
Then the display changes to green
The Instagrid LINK MAX is active when the red LED on
the 1x 4-pole contactor glows
Fault An error is at hand at the Instagrid LINK MAX Triggered
by a short circuit to earth, short circuit, overload or
phase error
The 1x 4-pole contactor (output) interrupts the connec-
tion to the output socket and the LED glows in green
The LED at the insulation monitoring device glows in red
or orange
