Before using the M2Smart HMI10 Wired near medical devices (e.g. pacemakers), ask a doctor or the
manufacturer of the medical devices.

The M2Smart HMI10 Wired must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Before use, check the M2Smart HMI10 Wired and the connection cable for damage. Damaged parts must
be replaced. Please contact ACD Elektronik GmbH to do this.

Damage caused by dropping the M2Smart HMI10 Wired can lead for example to loss of the specified IP
protection.
Non-designated use of the interfaces is prohibited.
The device may only be operated by trained specialized personnel.
The hazardous area must be visible from the operating position occupied by personnel.
According to EN ISO 13850 section 4.1, as well as EN 60204-1 section 10.7.1, it must be ensured that no
confusion can occur between an effective and an ineffective HMI handheld operating device.

If an M2Smart HMI10 Wired is not in use, store the operating device in a location that is protected from
access.
