Storage conditions
The units cannot be stacked. The temperature limits for storage are: -20 ÷ 50°C
2.4. INSTALLATION
DANGER!
Installation must only be carried out by skilled technicians, qualified for working on air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Incorrect installa-
tion could cause the unit to run badly, with a consequent deterioration in performance.
DANGER!
The unit must be installed according to national or local standards in force at the time of installation.
DANGER!
Some internal parts of the unit may cause cuts. Use suitable personal protective equipment.
IMPORTANT!
The unit is envisioned for indoor installation. Incorrect positioning or installation of the unit may amplify noise levels and vibrations generated
during operation.
Installation site requirements
The installation site should be chosen in accordance with the provisions of Standard EN 378-1 and in keeping with the requirements of Standard EN 378-3.
When selecting the installation site, risks posed by accidental refrigerant leakage from the unit should also be taken into consideration.
For units installed outdoors but in a place where a refrigerant leak could stagnate, for example in a hole, installation must comply with the requirements for
the detection of leaks and for the ventilation required for "machinery rooms" according to EN 378-1.
Outdoor Installation
Machines designed for outdoor installation must be positioned so as to avoid any refrigerant gas leakage entering the building and posing a hazard to peo-
ple's health. If, normally for aesthetic reasons, the unit is installed inside masonry structures, these structures must be adequately ventilated (naturally or
mechanically) in order to prevent the formation of dangerous concentrations of refrigerant gas (see requirements above).
Even if the unit is installed on terraces or in any case on the roofs of buildings, appropriate measures must be taken (e.g. but not limited to) by respecting a
minimum safety distance of 2.5 m so that any gas leaks cannot be dispersed into ventilation systems, ventilation ducts, entrance doors, manholes, storm
drains, hatches, openings to the ground or similar. This distance is increased to 5.0 m for premises intended for public exercises, communities, places of
assembly, entertainment or the public, 15.0 m from railway and tram lines and vertically from high-voltage power lines.
Guidelines for the installation of units with R32 gas
Units contain R32 gas classified as A2L according to standard EN 378-1 and transport is regulation ADR UN 3358.

CH2F2
R32 belongs to the family of hydrofluorocarbons. It is regulated by the Kyoto protocol (1997 and subsequent revisions) being a fluid that contributes to the
greenhouse effect. The index which measures how much a certain mass of greenhouse gas contributes to global warming is the GWP (Global Warming
Potential). The standard measure for carbon dioxide (CO2) is GWP=1.
The value of GWP assigned to each refrigerant represents the equivalent amount in kg of CO2 released over a period of 100 years, in order to have the
same greenhouse effect of 1kg refrigerant released over the same period of time. R32 does not contain elements that destroy the ozone layer, such as
chlorine;, therefore, its ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential) is zero (ODP=0).
In accordance with ISO 817, R32 is classified as A2L, as per ASHRAE Standard 34-1997. High lower flammability limit LFL (307 g/m3), reduced flame prop-
agation (below 6.7 cm/s) and low combustion heat (9.5 MJ/kg) making R32 an A2L fluid, mildly flammable refrigerant. The refrigerant also has a minimum
ignition energy (MIE> 29 mj) and a self-ignition temperature of 530 ° C.
