Malfunction
No image on the monitor
Image too dark

Remedy
Verify that all units are connected to mains
power and switched on
Replace camera fuse T0.5 A L/25 V~ (TA020394)
If the monitor supports several channels: Verify
that the monitor is set to the channel that is
presently used (e.g. RGB, S-Video (Y/C), Com-
posite Video (FBAS))
Replace video cable
Connect video cable
Ensure that the camera head is connected to the
camera control unit and the camera plug is dry
Verify that the light cable is connected at the
light source and the light cable input of the
endoscope
Connect a new light cable
Have repaired by manufacturer
Turn up the light source intensity
If the image is too dark even without the cam-
era: Use a different endoscope and have the
defective endoscope repaired by the manufac-
turer
Turn the focus adjustment setting ring of the
endo-lens until there is a sharp image
Clean tip with a sterile cloth and isopropyl alco-
hol (70 %)
Dry plug with gauze before plugging it in at the
camera socket
Check if the front and rear windows of the
endoscope and the front window of the endo-
lens are clean; if necessary, clean with isopropyl
alcohol (70 %)
Increase intensity of the light source
Press MODE button and select the optimum
light metering mode for the sheath diameter of
the endoscope
Connect camera cable at the camera control
unit
Start automatic white-adjustment
Reset to factory setting
Replace video cable
