All switches that qualify for migration will appear in the Available Appliances list.
Select the appliance you wish to migrate and click the > button to move the
appliance to the Appliances to migrate list.
If the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances you want to migrate are not
i
available in the Migration Wizard, you may have exited the AMP before the
firmware upgrade was complete. Close the Migration Wizard, then open the
AMP to allow the upgraded firmware version to be detected. When you open
the Migration Wizard again, the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances
will be available.
Click Next.
It is recommend to use the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances information
stored in the local database when migrating switches. To do so, select the check
box on the Use Local Database Information window.
-or-
If you do not wish to use local database information, clear the check box.
Click Next.
If the migration was successful, the Completing the Migration Wizard window
opens.
-or-
If the migration was not successful, the Migration Wizard was unsuccessful window
will open.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
The KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances will no longer be available in the KVM
s3 Client. You may now manage the appliance using the on-board web interface; see
"On-board Web Interface" on page 101.

Downgrading appliances

If you decide you do not want to manage your appliance using the on-board web
interface, you can return it to a pre-migration state by downgrading the firmware and
adding it back in the KVM s3 Client.
To downgrade KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances firmware:
Use the on-board web interface to load an older version of firmware (that does not
support the on-board web interface) on the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appli-
ances. See "Updating the KVM s3 Client" on page 123.
Delete the appliance from the KVM s3 Client database.
a. Click the Appliances tab in the Explorer.
b. Right-click the unit name in the view and select Delete. The selected appliance
and any associated servers will be removed from the database. Click Yes to
confirm.
Add the appliance back into the KVM s3 Client. See "Adding an appliance" on
page 15 for instructions.
