When complete, a message appears prompting you to confirm the read completion.
Click OK to return to the main window.
To restore a configuration file to a KVM s2-0411 or KVM s3-1621 appliance:
Click the Tools tab in the on-board web interface. The Tools window appears.
Click the Restore Appliances Configuration button. The Restore KVM Appli-
ances Configuration window box appears.
Click Browse and navigate to the location where you stored the saved configura-
tion file. The file name and location appears in the File name field.
Click Restore. The Enter Password window opens.
(Optional) Enter the password you created when the configuration database was
saved. Click OK. The configuration file is written to the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-
1621 appliances. A progress window displays.
You may leave the password field blank if you did not create a password for

the configuration file.
When complete, a message appears prompting you to confirm the write comple-
tion. Click OK to return to the main window.
6.8 Managing user databases
User database files contain all user accounts assigned in a KVM s2-0411 or KVM s3-
1621 appliance. You can save your user account database file and use it to configure
users on multiple KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances by writing the user
account file to the new appliance.
The user account file is encrypted and you will be prompted to create a

password when you save the file. You will need to re-type this password when
you write the file to a new unit.
To save a user database from a KVM s2-0411 or KVM s3-1621 appliance:
Click the Tools tab in the on-board web interface. The Tools window appears.
Click the Save KVM Appliances User Database button. The Save Appliances
User Database window appears.
Click Browse and navigate to a location to save the user database file. The location
appears in the Save To field.
Click Save. The Enter Password window opens.
Enter a password in the Password field, then repeat the password in the Verify
Password field. This password is requested when you restore this database to a
KVM s2-0411 or KVM s3-1621 appliance. Click OK. The user database file is read
from the KVM s2-0411 or KVM s3-1621 appliance and saved to a location. A
progress window displays.
When complete, you are prompted to confirm. Next, the Save KVM Appliances
User Database window closes and returns to the Tools window.
