6.2.5
Enabling individual SNMP traps
An SNMP trap is a notification sent by the KVM s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances
to a management station indicating that an event has occurred in the KVM s2-0411 and
KVM s3-1621 appliances that may require further attention. The OpenManage™ IT
Assistant software is the event manager. You can specify what SNMP traps are sent to
the management stations by simply clicking the appropriate check boxes in the list.
Alternatively, you can select or clear the check box next to Enabled Traps to easily
select or deselect the entire list.

Viewing and resynchronizing server connections
The Servers category retrieves and displays the servers that exist in the KVM s3 Client
database as well as information on how the servers are connected to the selected KVM
s2-0411 and KVM s3-1621 appliances.
The Path column displays the current server connection. This can be to either a KVM-IA
or a tiered switch. If connected to a KVM-IA, the KVM-IA's ARI port is displayed. If
connected to a tiered switch, the switch channel is also displayed. Clicking on a Server
Name displays a dialog that allows you to change the name of the server.
