As there are 21 supporting points, it is possible to create two calibration certificates for
tensile/compressive force transducers, one for the tensile range and one for the pressure
range.
Linearization via compensation function
Select "Cubic polynomial calibration". You can use cubic, square, and linear compensation
functions. You can process two cubic functions in the "Adjustment Coefficients" menu:
One for the tensile force range and one for the compressive force range.
Tensile force: Negative force
Compressive force: Positive force
A prerequisite is that a calibration was completed and the result is available in the
following format:
F output = R*X^3 + S*X^2 + T*X
In this case F output is the measurement result calculated and corrected by the
electronics. The coefficients R, S, and T are the results of an approximation of the
characteristic curve, as determined by the calibration.
Tip
The designations are in accordance with the calibration certificate as per ISO 376. If you
have such a certificate, you can simply copy the coefficients from the calibration
certificate. HBK will enter the coefficients for you, if you complete the calibration at HBK.
