during normal operation. You can adjust the characteristic curve if you would like to use
the calibration result to improve the calculation of the force values (linearization), or if
you would like to use a different unit than Newton (kN, Nm, etc.).
If you would like to increase the measurement accuracy by using an existing calibration
certificate, select the "Adjustment mode" point from the "Adjustment" menu. Here you
can select whether you want to work with supporting points, or whether you would prefer
to enter the coefficients of a cubic or square compensating polynomial.
Zero setting
You can use the "Zero setting" button in the software of your IO-Link master to set it to
zero. Once the electronics have been set to zero, further measurement data will be
issued. To repeat the zero settings process, the button must first be made inactive before
it can be actuated again.
The zero point is not saved permanently; if you disconnect the device from the supply
voltage it will have to be set to zero again.

Documentation fields, deactivation of the customer adjustment (linearization),
selection of the linearization method
It contains the following fields:
S
Calibration date: Here you can make a note of the date on which the sensor was
calibrated. If you have the sensor is calibrated in the HBK calibration laboratory, the
data of the HBK calibration laboratory is entered
S
Calibration authority: Here you can enter the calibration laboratory that completed the
calibration. If you have the sensor is calibrated in the HBK calibration laboratory, the
data of the HBK calibration laboratory is entered
S
Calibration certificate ID: You can enter the number of the calibration certificate here.
S
Calibration expiration date: Here you can enter when the sensor should be
recalibrated. The time between two calibrations is defined by the customer, which is
why this field is not completed if a calibration is completed at HBK.

Linearization: Here, you enable and disable the linearization, and thus the effect of
entering the results of a calibration certificate. Disabled: Function disabled; stepwise:
Entry of supporting points; polynomial: Entry of a compensating polynomial: 1, 2, or 3
grades (see following text)
