REMOVING THE MOWING DECK FROM THE MOWER
Park the mower on an even surface.
ƒ
Raise the grass catcher all the way up.
ƒ
Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake.
ƒ
Turn the ignition key to the LIGHTS position and engage the mowing deck (the engine is not running), set
ƒ
the mowing deck height adjustment knob to position 1.
After the mowing deck moves to position 1, turn the key to the OFF position and pull the key out of the ignition.
ƒ
Remove the side plastic covers at the floor by removing the quick coupling pins. Slide a screwdriver into
ƒ
the pin groove and turn it by 90°. Then take the covers off the mower,
Remove the cover (1) of the universal-shaft by sliding the cotter out of the pins in the front and
ƒ
rear part of the cover.
Approach the mower from behind and lift the front part of the chute upwards to release it from the
ƒ
pins on the mowing deck. Then pull the chute backwards from the guide rails.
Put the locking parts (3) on to the height draw bars so as to slide the small hole on to the vertical
ƒ
draw bar (4) all the way and slide the large hole on to the pin nut (5). The locking parts are used
for disengagement by means of auxiliary springs.
Disconnect the mowing deck from the lifting mechanism (6):
ƒ
- Slide the cotters (8) and pins (7) out of the arms of the mechanism in the front part of the mowing
deck
- Slide out the cotters (8) and pins (7) of the mechanism in the rear part of the mowing deck
Raise the lifting arms:
Turn the ignition key to the LIGHTS position and engage the mowing deck (the engine is not running), set
ƒ
the mowing deck height adjustment knob to position 6.
After the mowing deck moves to position 6, turn the key to the OFF position and pull the key out of the ignition.
ƒ
Disconnect the universal-shaft into two parts by sliding the mowing deck towards the rear axle.
ƒ
It is advisable to mark the relative position of the shaft with the outer grooving and the shaft with
the inner grooving for correct subsequent reassembly. The universal-shaft can only be assembled
into the same groove!
Slowly pull out the mowing deck to the right side of the mower.

REMOUNTING THE MOWING DECK ON THE MOWER
Proceed in reverse sequence to the removal.
ƒ
ATTENTION: Before connecting the universal-shaft, ensure the correct position of the outer and inner
grooves. Incorrect installation would result in undesirable vibrations while running the mower. Both
joints must be turned in the same way.
ATTENTION: Always reinstall the cover of the universal-shaft. The cover prevents the rapid wearing
out of the universal-shaft and the winding on of vegetation on to the rotating parts.
REPLACING THE UNIVERSAL-SHAFT DRIVE BELT
Park the mower on an even surface.

Turn off the engine and engage the parking brake.
ƒ
Open the hood.
ƒ
Remove the cover of the universal-shaft by sliding the cotter out of the pins in the front and rear part of the
ƒ
cover ( FIG. 30).
Loosen the belt pulley tensioning spring so that it is possible to remove the belt from the pulley (
ƒ
Remove the old belt from the mower and slide a new belt on to the belt pulleys.
ƒ
Tension the pulley springs. Tension value
ƒ
Reinstall the cover of the universal-shaft.
